Where To Find Traditional Bakeries In Singapore

The number of traditional bakeries has been dwindling as Singapore progresses due to various reasons. These traditional bakeries offer freshly baked bread, buns and loaves which are greatly loved by almost everybody. The fresh smell of bread from a bakery gives one comfort and warmth. Although traditional bakeries may not look as nicely decorated as modern bakeries, the products sold at traditional bakeries do not pale in comparison. Most of these traditional bread shops make their baked products by hand and are usually baked fresh daily.  One of the commonly found baked products sold at all these traditional bread shops is the soft traditional bread loaf. These soft white loafs go extremely well with kaya and a slice of butter. This combination is what we would usually find in coffee shops that goes superbly well with a cup of coffee and soft boiled eggs.

Traditional bread shops in Singapore are slowly dwindling and we should try our best to visit one traditional bread shop at least once to experience the nostalgic and traditional feel that is not found in modern bread shops today. If you do not have the time to visit these traditional bakeries, a good alternative to locally tasting bread would be locally tasting kaya cupcakescheck out our menu today for these delicious, mouth-watering treats 🙂
