Ximending is known as the Shibuya of Taiwan. With the variety of delicious food it has to offer and the buzzling traffic all day, this place is one of the spots tourist go to when in Taiwan. Here are some eating options you can choose from when in Ximending.

1. Ah Chung Flour Rice Noodle 阿宗麵線

Rice noodles (麵線) in a flavourul thick broth made from bonito flakes with generous pieces of pig intestines.

2. 鴨肉扁 (Translation: The Duck Flat)

Serving only goose meat, try their smoked goose plate and goose noodle soup.

3. Yu’s Almond Tofu 于記杏仁豆腐

This is a specialised almond shop selling dessert. Try their almond shaved snow.

4. Yonghe Doujiang 永和豆漿

Head over here for a Taiwanese Style Breakfast. Try the egg crepes, 豆浆 and youtiao. They serve salty bean curd (咸豆浆) too but its an acquired taste.

5. Lemon House 檸檬屋苦瓜大王

There are many shops selling bitter gourd juice but this stall has one of the best! Try their bitter gourd drink which is surprising not bitter at all! It’s not hard to find the shop with such a gigantic fake white bitter gourd hanging right in front of the shop.

6. Ji Ji Guang Xiang Xiang Ji 继光香香鸡
