What To Do In Nantou & Cing Jing|Exploring Taiwan
Planning a trip away with your other half? Cingjing is famed for being a lovers’ getaway! Here are some places you can visit on your trip to taiwan!
1. The Small Swiss Garden (清境小瑞士花園)
Address: 546, Taiwan, Nantou County, Ren’ai Township, 定遠新村28號
Open daily from 8am till 10pm. Admire flowers and take a relaxing walk in the park. Admission fee applicable.
2. Green Green Grasslands & Mountain View Pastoral Areas (清境農場青青草原觀山牧區)
Feed the sheeps here and walk through mystical buildings and architecture. Admission fee applicable.
3. The Old England (老英格蘭)
Address: No.20-3, Shouting Ln., Renai County, Nantou, Taiwan 546
This is a charming and beautiful architectural design hotel, which is a prominent attraction when driving around the mountains in Cingjing. Do note that only their hotel and dining guests are allowed to enter into this old fashion English mansion. If you are not willing to pay to enter, you can take some photographs of this building’s exterior facade and enjoy the scenic mountainous view from the Old England hotel.
4. Mei Feng Farm (梅峰農場)

Mei Feng Farm provides a state of art facilities and temperate-zone gardens for education and demonstration of tropical highland farming and management . Established in 1937, the farm boasts an extensive diversity of temperate fruit trees, endemic plants, flowers, and an abundant of wildlife.
5. Monster Village (溪頭森林妖怪村)
Address: No. 2-3, Xingchan Rd, Lugu Township Nantou County, 558, Taiwan

Opening hours: Mon – Fri 10:00AM – 8:00PM; Sat & Sun: 10:00AM – 9:00PM
This is a Japanese-inspired with wooden structures and lanterns, an upcoming tourist attraction for families and friends in Nantou. Charming, whimsical, creative and fun, the village is themed around morbid-looking yet cartoonish monsters, too cute to scare off anyone! 3D shows available too! Free admission 🙂
6. Sitou Forest Recreational Area (溪頭自然教育園區)
Getting here:
By Car-Take Freeway 3 and exit at the Zhushan Interchange. Take Provincial HWY 3 towards Zhushan and turn left at County HWY 151.
By Shuttle bus- Take from Taichung’s HSR Station or catch one of the buses leaving for Sanlinxi outside Taichung Railway Station [Taichung Bus and Yuanlin Bus companies].
Thinking of having a nice, fresh morning walk? This is the place for you. With a great variety of trees including cedars, red spruces and Phyllostachys edulis towering above you; don’t need to be afraid of the sun. There is a skywalk in the park too. The University Pond also offers another picturesque side of Sitou, a nice spot for photos.
7. SunLinkSea (杉林溪森林生態渡假園區)
Located between Sitou and Alishan, is famous for its breathtaking scenery with mild temperature all year round. There are waterfalls, forest trails and valley for hiking at the scenic area. Allocate a day here as the area is big.
