Simple swaps to cut FAT
Don’t we all want to enjoy your cake and not think about the amount of calories present? For higher fat ingredients that are present in your recipe, try these simple swaps! You can try substituting the entire amount or a portion of the amount of these high fat ingredient so as to reduce the fat content consumed.

Fats and oil can be cut back in many recipes and still produce good results. Cutting down on fats does not mean cutting it out entirely but rather, it means to REDUCE the amount of fats present in the recipe. An average sized woman should only consume between 50-60 grams of fats while an average sized man should consume between 70-80 grams of fats a day.
- Minimum amount of fats and oil in cakes and cookies is 2 tablespoon for every cup of flour
- Minimum amount of fats and oil in muffins, bread and biscuits is 1-2 tablespoon for every cup of flour
